The Bench

Craftsmanship

A look at how our pieces are made — from the rough metal to the final polish.

Design

Every piece begins on paper. Our designers sketch in graphite, then refine in CAD only after the proportions feel right by hand. The result: pieces that look intentional, not algorithmic.

Casting

We cast in 14k and 18k gold and platinum from recycled-source refineries. Stones aren't set until the metal has been hand-finished — twice over — to eliminate even the microscopic porosity that lets pieces look dull a decade in.

Setting

Our setters work under 20x magnification. Each prong is cut, raised, and burnished by hand. Pavé fields are charted on graph paper, then drilled and set stone-by-stone — the difference between machine-set jewelry and ours is visible to the naked eye after a few years of wear.

Quality control

Every finished piece passes through three inspections: our setter, our master jeweler, and our quality lead. Anything that doesn't meet the standard goes back to the bench.
